Arlington is a county seat of Arlington County named after the home of Robert E. Lee. Arlington is on the Potomac River covering a land area of 26 square miles.

Arlington enjoys a temperate climate with four distinct seasons. Springs and autumns are long, while winters are mild than they are in the northeast. Summers are hot in Arlington with temperatures reaching a high of 80s in June, July and August. Fall is the best time in Arlington with average temperatures dropping to the 60’s in September, the 50’s in October, and the 40’s in November.

The coldest month is January with an average temperature of 34 degrees and highs in the mid-40’s and lows averaging 25.
